Hawaiian Chant

Quiet the Mind - Heal Your Body - Bring the Sacredness Back into Your LIfe

Experience a rich and beautiful culture that is all about maintaining the harmony of the community and caring for each other

We chant in the language of the ancient Hawaiian people because the sounds and tones of the Hawaiian language create vibrations that invoke our deeper neurology and connect us to that part of ourselves just waiting to be stirred.  It deepen our understanding of ourselves, inspiring and elevating us from our present  physical state.    It helps us to reconnect to our individual senses of purpose and value and to better understand our journey through life.  Some believe that it is one of the original languages.  It connects us to "living the Aloha Spirit",that helps us to experience that we are all one people, one family no matter what culture, country, background we originate from.

A regular practice of chanting with these ancient words and sacred sounds affects us physically as well as spiritually.  It can:

  • elicit the relaxation response
  • reduce stress
  • sharpen mental clarity
  • open and expand all of our senses
  • help and support our overall health and wellness

One of the most important Hawaiian chants is actually the embodiment of Aloha, based on the 5 acronyms for the word.  It is a simple chant that is easy to learn.  It can be incorporated into any spiritual practice/meditation that you are already doing.  It also stands alone as a meditative practice.

Whether you are an experienced singer or the person who was asked not to sing in the class play, you can share in the wonder and power of chant.   It is not "singing.  It is about breath, heart and Spirit—and we all come full equipped to participate.

"When we all chant together, it solidifies the body as one breath.  Wherever and whenever we chant, we are one breath.  We invoke the spirit from where this original chant was given.  We are calling on God and that God is the God of Love."            - Joe Camacho
